Things to do
The northern headquarters of the BBC and the ITV studios are just two of the big name companies situated in the heart of MediaCityUK.
You can apply for free tickets to watch popular BBC TV shows as part of the studio audience and you can tour the Coronation Street set - and even meet cast members - at the ITV studios.
Salford Quays is also home to the Lowry Theatre - which invites world-class visual arts performers to its stages throughout the year - and just around the corner you'll find the poignant galleries and exhibitions of the Imperial War Museum North.
Visitors can also stop by The Lowry Outlet Mall - one of Greater Manchester's popular shopping attractions - which holds a handful of outlet and factory stores including Next and Marks & Spencer, a cinema with reclining leather seats and a gym.
Food and drink
When it comes to food and drink options - residents and visitors are spoiled for choice in Salford Quays.
Expect big brand eateries like Pizza Express, Nando's, Cafe Rouge and Wagamama alongside lesser-known gems like Penelope's Deli and Grindsmith.
And hiding inside the Holiday Inn you'll find celebrity chef Marco Pierre White's New York Italian which offers English and Italian afternoon tea experiences.
Lowry Theatre guests can enjoy pre-theatre dinner by the waterfront at Pier Eight Restaurant or if you're after a quiet pint - The Dockyard serves an eclectic range of craft ales, beers and ciders from all over the world.
For those in search of a stylish bar to spend an evening in, skilled mixologists at both The Alchemist and The Botanist can entertain you with theatrical cocktails created with fire, smoke and dry ice.
Local supermarkets
High-end supermarket Booths is located in MediaCityUK.
Here shoppers have access to a bakery, breakfast bar, cheesemonger, delicatessen, a juice bar, olive bar and Amazon lockers.
There's also a Sainsbury's Local situated inside X1 Media City Tower, a Tesco Express on the Quays Campus and an Afro-Caribbean food store situated close by on Eccles New Road.
